So I got this bird a day calendar for 2013 and I’ve been trying to sketch the more interesting birds that come up. Not only can Clark’s Grebe a bird that can be found in Oregon, they have this pretty neat mating “dance” that was featured in the birds episode of “Life.” They also have weird lobed feet which I didn’t capture at all. They’re also usually thinner. This is a chunky grebe.
Haven’t had much but storm petrels on the calendar for the past two weeks.
Rufous Hummingbirds

Pretty sure the little red headed guys are house finches.
At last the elusive quail is finally mine!
Sparrows this time.
You may have already guessed this, but its really hard to get pictures of hummingbirds. They’re tiny and move really fast :\
